What will your group be working on for the next 6 months? Leadership will be switching from Breanne Kirsch and Melissa Johnson to Lara Taylor and Wilhelmina Randtke as the new co-chairs. They may hold a summer meeting after ALA Annual.
How did your work contribute to diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility, or belonging within Core or the library profession? What areas of improvement do you see for your IG or Core in these areas? The interest group presentation shared by Yale librarians focused on how librarians at various campus libraries are inclusively using technology to meet diverse student learning needs.

First Activity
On Thursday, March 10, the Core Instructional Technologies hosed an IG Week session. Two topics were presented:
The State University of New York (SUNY): Exploring Emerging Technologies for Lifelong Learning and Success (#EmTechMOOC) presented by Roberta (Robin) Sullivan and
Beyond the Basics: Slide Integrated Polling with PollEverywhere, Mentimeter and Sli.do presented by Steven Bell

What will your group be working on for the next 6 months?
Melissa Johnson will become Chair in July and Breanne Kirsch will stay on as Vice-Chair. We are in discussions about participating in a fall e-forum and may hold a virtual meeting around ALA Annual time for members.

First Activity
On Friday, June 25 from 1-2pm central time we held a meeting and discussion about instructional technologies as part of the ALA Annual virtual conference.

Second Activity
The Instructional Technologies Interest Group also met during the CORE IG Week on Tuesday, July 27 from 10am-11am central time. Breanne Kirsch gave a brief overview on a variety of educational technology tools and Melissa Johnson gave a brief presentation discussing Canvas modules she has created.

Third Activity
We led a Core E-Forum: Instructional Technologies and the Effects of COVID-19 on Library Instruction from Tuesday, 8/24/2021-Wednesday, 8/25/2021. We discussed our favorite technology tools that are related to instruction. We also be discussed the potential long-term effects of COVID-19 on library instruction.

The Instructional Technologies Interest Group participated in the Core IG Week on Tuesday, July 27 at 10:00am. We discussed instructional technologies and had a presentation from Melissa Johnson at Southern Methodist University discussing Canvas modules they've been creating.
